From Status Quo to Status GO!

You may find yourself staying in the same job or life situation even though you have bigger dreams. Below are tips and resources to move from status quo to status GO! While transitioning to later life brings opportunity, it also challenges us to step into new ways of being. I’ve also included one of my favorite PDFs for procrastinators.  Enjoy!

Break Down the Barrier – What is the barrier that’s stopping you from taking action? Is there a negative or defeating thought that’s holding you back? Making assumptions about what’s possible (or not possible) in later life has consequences.

Free To Be – The greatest freedom is the freedom of choice. Having years behind us affords us more wisdom, time, and talent. Will we use our gifts wisely?

Dare To Dream – Allow yourself to think out of the box, around the world and into the universe.

“Just Do It” – The Nike tagline is perhaps an even greater contribution to humankind than their apparel/footwear. It’s when we get out of the stands and onto the playing field that we know we’re alive and moving ahead.

Forward the Reward – Look for the reward to give yourself after doing what you committed to doing. It could be allowing yourself one hour of TV or a bowl of ice cream.

Snag Some Goals – Research shows those who have a plan are more likely to achieve results – and life dreams.

Don’t Go It Alone – Tap friends, family, or a coach to help create a roadmap to a fulfilling future.

And, a Favorite PDF of Mine… 20 Strategies to Overcome Procrastination. I suggest picking three strategies that resonate with you and “just do it” in the next two weeks.
